Four-part series of events in 2024
With the opportunity to organise four dates in the event series Nachhall – Diskurs im echoraum, the idea was born to reinterpret a discourse format from the 17th century. The principle of the so-called academy is easy to explain: a pre-defined question, e.g. ‘What is better: happiness or merit?’, is to be answered by four speakers in a short contribution over the course of the respective event and summarised at the end by a fifth concluding speaker, with music and art being performed between the speeches or all speakers being given the opportunity to take a musical or artistic stance. The aim is not least to ask women* who have dedicated themselves primarily to progressive improvisation and composition to contribute both discursively and musically, to invite experts* who bring a lot of experience with them and to bring together different actors* who may not have had any points of contact before; the aim is to sharpen perspectives and ideally to stimulate and open up new ways of thinking and approaches
